What Can You Put Inside a Fill-Your-Own Advent Calendar?

The wonderful thing about a fill-your-own advent calendar is making every surprise personal to your child.

Here are some of our favourite ideas:

• Mini chocolates and Christmas sweets

• Christmas stickers and temporary tattoos

• Mini toy cars or animal figures

• Hair clips and little accessories

• Festive jokes and riddles

• Small age-appropriate toys

• Handwritten notes from Santa

• Christmas kindness challenges

• Family movie night vouchers

• Christmas baking activity cards

• Little colouring activities

• Special messages from parents or grandparents

• Notes revealing a surprise Christmas outing

• Small puzzle pieces to collect throughout December

You don't need to fill every pocket with expensive presents. Some of the loveliest Christmas memories come from a simple handwritten note, a festive activity or a special moment shared together.
