What Can You Put Inside a Fill-Your-Own Advent Calendar?

One of the loveliest things about a reusable Christmas advent calendar is creating a countdown filled with surprises that are meaningful to your child.

Here are some of our favourite ideas:

• Mini chocolates or individually wrapped sweets

• Christmas stickers and temporary tattoos

• Small toy cars or animal figures

• Little building blocks or puzzle pieces

• Hair bows and accessories

• Festive jokes and riddles

• Handwritten messages from Santa

• Christmas kindness challenges

• Family Christmas activity vouchers

• Notes for Christmas baking or movie nights

• Mini stationery and colouring activities

• Special messages from parents or grandparents

You don't need 24 expensive presents. Sometimes a simple handwritten note, a little chocolate or the promise of a Christmas film night can create the biggest smiles.

Always choose age-appropriate pocket contents and supervise younger children.
