1.PICK A THEME
Think about a theme for your scrapbook. Will it be celebrating your first year as a couple or to show your bestie how special she is? Maybe you just want to get together all your memories of your adventures and bring your photos to life!
Will it be for adventure, romance, girly or travel? You can make it whatever you want it to be!!
2.TELL YOUR STORY
Think about what story you want to tell and how you want to set out your story. You could break it down into months of the year, the countries you visited or the seasons you had your adventures in. Get creative and enjoy the process.
3.CHOOSE A LAYOUT
Don’t feel restricted by the prospect of making every page perfect. Its your chance to bring your story to life and get those creative juices flowing! Make things easier by creating a consistent design if you want to keep it simple. Get together all your favourite photos and special keepsakes to create your perfect layout. Think plane tickets, dried flowers, handwritten notes and treasured greeting cards. The more variety the better! Arrange your images before putting glue to paper, planning will save you making any mistakes and help you create your perfect scrapbook.
4.CREATE YOUR OWN DESIGNS
The best scrapbooks are filled with pattern and print. If you are feeling creative you can create your own. Wrapping paper, gift tags, ribbons and old greeting cards make a perfect time saving alternative. Try making your own envelopes to add in your memorabilia and keep them safe! One example is to use a map from your travels, a magazine or even a letter.
5.JOURNALLING
Don’t be afraid to use your own handwriting to add in dates, lyrics or experiences. Photos will help to give you the inspiration to tell your story and help you remember all your amazing experiences. Make this the last step of the process and make all those fabulous finishing touches.
6.HAVE FUN!
