What Can You Put Inside a Fill-Your-Own Advent Calendar?

One of the loveliest things about reusable advent calendars is creating a countdown that's personal to your little one.

Here are some of our favourite ideas for filling the 24 advent pockets:

• Mini chocolates and individually wrapped sweets

• Christmas stickers and temporary tattoos

• Small toy cars or animal figures

• Mini building blocks

• Festive jokes and riddles

• Handwritten notes from Santa

• Christmas kindness challenges

• Colouring activities

• Hair bows and little accessories

• Mini stationery

• Family Christmas movie night vouchers

• Notes for festive baking activities

• Clues revealing a special Christmas outing

• Little messages from parents or grandparents

• Small age-appropriate toys

You don't need 24 expensive presents to make the countdown magical. Sometimes a little chocolate, a handwritten note or the promise of a family Christmas activity creates the most wonderful memories.

Always choose age-appropriate contents and supervise younger children.
